About Me
I am Hafiz Haris Mehmood, a last-year Computer Science student, and a graduate aspirant, actively seeking opportunities for the Fall 2026 intake. My academic curriculum has provided me with a good foundation in key areas including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Structures & Algorithms, and Database Systems.
My problem-solving abilities have been recognized on a global scale, as I was part of the winning team for Harvard University's CS50x Puzzle Day, ranking in the top 0.03% worldwide. I am committed to continuous upskilling, as evidenced by my work on the British Airways Data Science Job Simulation and my ongoing progress in the IBM Data Science Professional Certification. Furthermore, I have solved 50+ Data Structures and Algorithms problems on LeetCode to sharpen my technical skills.
I have successfully applied my knowledge in a professional setting as a Data Science Intern at SAIKET SYSTEMS. There, I was responsible for preprocessing data, performing feature engineering, and developing machine learning models to optimize accuracy. I also created interactive Power BI dashboards to visualize key metrics which help in strategic decisions.
Beyond my technical skills, I am passionate about Education and Mentorship. I currently serve as a Remote Trainer and Moderator for iCodeGuru, Silicon Valley, where I deliver lectures on Python Programming and Data Structures & Algorithms to underprivileged students. This role allows me to contribute to making coding education more accessible.
I am not just a coder but also a problem solver and a mentor. My experience and diverse skill set can be a valuable asset to a research lab. As a graduate student/researcher, Iām confident to bring my technical expertise and mentoring skills to the table, contributing to innovative solutions and fostering the development of future talents.
